Beast of Gevaudan
The Beast of Gevaudan was an animal sighted in France between 1664 and 1767. They were often reported to have rather sharp teeth and large tails. It is said that during the time of King Louis the XV, two large beasts were killed which led to a stop of attacks on people. These beasts were said to be overly large wolves. The attacks seemed to stop, but since then there have been reports all of the way into the 20th century, and each time seeming to be on a four year cycle.
